Our Hearts Are Full This Winter

Happy February! We have been working through the coldest winter we can remember: heavy, unforgiving snowfalls; and sub-zero temperatures when considering the wind chill. Thank goodness for hot cocoa and warm blankets.

But there’s reason for optimism. First, January is officially in the rearview mirror. Second, we are official owners of a new car battery (see January for details). Finally, after a hiatus, we are restarting the adoption process.

Our adoption journey has been one of significant ups and downs, but nothing has brought greater clarity to our lives than being parents. The idea of welcoming a child into our family fills us with joy, eagerness and anxiety all at once; and it’s amazing.
