A Grateful Time of Year

Dear Future Kids,

While we wait for your arrival, there is still so much to be thankful for. First, and the one constant no matter what the world brings is the love your mother and I share for each other. We continue to enjoy the love and support of our families and friends who have been nothing but helpful every step of the way. Both Jenn and I have the luxury of a roof over our heads.

We hope that as we raise you, we can instill this perspective and gratefulness for the many gifts and blessings you've received. What the world hands you may not always be easy, but it most certainly could be worse. And regardless of the trials you will endure, there will always be those who unfortunately find themselves in more difficult and challenging times. This understanding and empathy for others is something we hope you'll bear in mind and carry with you as a basic awareness of the world around you.

As we enter the busy holiday season, your mother and I wanted to take a step back to express our gratefulness for all the many blessings we've received and continue to receive each and every day...And we most importantly count you as our greatest blessing.
