Falling in Love All Over Again

Dear Future Kiddos,

Your mother and I have been waiting for you a very long time. Having children has been a topic of conversation since we first started dating, and we can't wait until the day we meet you.

In the meantime, our journey to having children has been quite remarkable. Yes, it's been a challenge with setbacks along the way. But we're optimistic that every difficulty brings a lesson and new knowledge which helps us come closer to you.

The other positive from this process is the love your mother and I share for each other. I think about how much time and effort we've spent on finding children to adopt, and it really is a virtuous cycle of falling in love all over again for the two of us...Recognizing why we made the lifelong commitment to each other to marry and start a family. Realizing and reinforcing our views for why Jenn will make such a great mother and why I will be a good father.

Maybe the difficulties we've faced have forced us to become more determined in our desire to adopt children and grow our family. But again, I hope these challenges are all bringing us one step closer to you.

Just know that there's a place in our hearts for you.
