Happy Mother's Day!

This past weekend was an awesome Mother's Day Weekend! The rain kept us indoors most of Saturday, but we did our best given the weather - digging dinosaur fossils, coloring, and singing songs.

Sunday is where the weekend took things to a whole new level. We woke up early to make chocolate chip pancakes and have our flowers and Mother's Day cards ready for Mom, which was promptly followed by painting a rocket ship to hang on the door.

In the afternoon, we drove over to celebrate Mother's Day with Mom's side of the family, where we were able to go for a walk and play soccer outside before the uncles grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. The kids were great and enjoyed the desserts, before we packed it in and came home.

All in, it was another great weekend - and Mom was able to relax a little bit as well!

I'm posting the below photo of our older son, since he's been hard at work watering the lawn now that the weather has turned around.

He might be one of the hardest-working kids I know...that, and he loves to be outside.
